through the looking glass header

We are thrilled to offer the 3-part series "Through the Looking Glass" as the start of a journey to learn more about and explore diversity. This series invites you to think deeply and begin an exploration of our differences as well as our similarities.

We don't have all the answers and in that openness, pledge to you:

The series is structured as three 1-hour sessions, with some on-your-own reflection activities.

Meet the Facilitators

Shauna Roman

Shauna currently serves as Executive Director of Networks for Training and Development. She is passionate about value-based leadership, strategic planning, and applying adult learning principles in all areas of her work.

For decades, Shauna has been involved in varying ways with people with disabilities, organizations, and systems to achieve meaningful, person-centered outcomes. As a Qualified Facilitator of The Leadership Challenge® (Kouzes and Posner), Shauna curates diverse learning opportunities using assessment tools, training, and innovative consultative practices.

As a long-time Adjunct Professor at Penn State Abington, her passion for learning also extends to students who continue to push her creativity and inclusive engagement strategies. In her spare time, she enjoys writing, music, and travel.

Jessica Stover

Jess is the Director of Training and Consultation at Networks and is enamored by the human experience. She continues to study the captivating power of supporting people to tell their stories through Biographical Timelines and how this, and other Person Centered Planning tools, can establish new avenues of understanding surrounding a person for them and their communities of support.

She has recently completed certificate studies at Penn State University regarding Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) and continues to read, reflect, learn, and grow voraciously within this heart-work.

In her spare time, Jess enjoys creating, getting lost in nature, and having “Ah-HA!” moments throughout her day. She lives on the side of a mountain in central Pennsylvania with her partner, Pete and a menagerie of furry critters to include 3 German Shepherds with very big personalities who generally respond to their names of Maggie Mae, Sascha Louise, and Samuel Laverne and one particularly pesky cat who never responds to their name of Momma.
